MIDP Manager vs Morta

TL;DR — Morta is a no-code, flexible, multi-CDE project controls platform: you model any tracker with tables and views, connect many CDEs (ACC, Asite, Aconex, ProjectWise, Procore, Dalux…) and build your MIDP by configuring it. It's powerful and has enterprise customers. MIDP Manager is the opposite of a blank canvas: it's an opinionated MIDP/TIDP that builds itself from a catalogue or by importing from ACC, plugs natively into Forma/ACC and ships with the coordinator's overdue agenda out of the box. Choose Morta if you want a configurable platform for many workflows and several CDEs. Choose MIDP Manager if you want the TIDP working in minutes, with no configuration and no consulting.

Flexible vs opinionated

Morta is a no-code platform of tables, views and process automation, purpose-built for construction. Its Information Delivery Planning model is elegant: the TIDPs are views of the same tracker, so what you add at the TIDP level is reflected in the MIDP automatically. You import your Excel with auto-mapping, add controlled picklists and build progress dashboards by discipline/originator/milestone. If your organisation has idiosyncratic processes and several CDEs, that flexibility is a real advantage.

MIDP Manager bets on the opposite: instead of giving you a canvas to model your MIDP, it builds it for you. You choose building type and disciplines, and the drawing set is generated from a curated catalogue with its ISO 19650 code, format, responsible party and due date — or you import it from your ACC folders by parsing the names. For a coordinator who wants a TIDP that works today rather than a configuration project, it's faster to value.

CDE sync (the technical difference)

Morta — Updates deliverable status by comparing the metadata of issued files against the plan. For ACC, the sync runs on-demand or automatically once a day (00:00 UK).

  • Strength: it works against many CDEs, not just Autodesk.
  • Limitation: it's batch metadata reconciliation, not an ACC-native link in the moment.

MIDP Manager — Focuses on one CDE and goes deeper: it auto-links the first upload as soon as the coordinator opens the board, flags name/format deviations, and respects manual unlinks.

  • Strength: a tighter loop inside ACC, with the first upload linked without approval.
  • Limitation: today it's ACC-only (not multi-CDE).

In short: choose Morta if your CDE isn't (only) Autodesk. Choose MIDP Manager if you live in Forma/ACC and want the deepest, most automatic link there.

Who Morta is for

  • You need a configurable platform for many workflows (handover, Building Safety Act, changes, risks).
  • You work with several CDEs (Asite, Aconex, ProjectWise, Procore, Dalux…).
  • You have a digital construction team that can configure and maintain it.
  • You want public pricing and unlimited free supply-chain users.

Who MIDP Manager is for

  • You want the TIDP working in minutes, with no configuration and no "transformation lead".
  • Your CDE is Autodesk Forma/ACC and you want the most automatic link possible there.
  • You're a BIM Coordinator and you need the overdue agenda out of the box.
  • Your team works in Spanish, English or French.
  • You're a small-to-medium practice that doesn't want the price floor or the configuration of an enterprise platform.

Pricing

MIDP Manager Morta
Free tier Yes (TBD) Yes (unlimited read-only/upload users)
Entry Paid editor + free viewers (TBD) £100/seat/month (£1,200/year)
Team £12,000/year (10 seats)
Scale Up £54,000/year (50 seats)
Services Zero-config £800/day; "transformation lead" on the high tier

Worth noting: Morta's flexibility comes with a configuration cost — it sells professional services and adds a "transformation lead" on the high plan. MIDP Manager avoids that cost with automatic generation and import. If your MIDP is standard ISO 19650 on ACC, that configuration is time you don't need to pay for.

The short line

Morta is a connected spreadsheet you configure until it becomes an MIDP; MIDP Manager is an MIDP that builds and enforces itself.
